It accommodate a drop hinge system to strengthen its ergonomic aspect. As commonly a clamshell phone, it has 1.6-inch diagonal external screen which provide standard information such as battery life, network signal, time and date. From equipment point of view, this 8220 deserve to be labeled smart phone. An updated operating system and interface, Wi-Fi and 2 megapixels camera are installed within it. I is more than enough for daily communication. For data management, a micro USB port and a micro SD expansion slot are available.
