HTC Magic Specifications and Price. HTC Magic has a compact form factor with sharp touchscreen display. It is also provided with Microsoft Exchange support and onscreen numeric keypad for one-hand typing. HTC Magic is a featured phone with Marketplace for apps and widgets. The new Android 1.5 software adds fair a number of features to this smartphone compared with the Dream, but HTC needs to smooth over a few concerns to make it better.
The bad news about HTC Magic is that the QWERTY keypad needs improvement. Moreover, HTC Magic has no 3.5mm audio jack. The camera lacks flash and battery life is not great. Sometimes the touchscreen is too sensitive and to play multimedia, it gets too much latency and jittery playback especially when playing videos. If Google works more on dealing with the touch sensitive better performs, HTC magic can really be a real competitor for iPhone. The other problem with HTC Magic is the price. HTC magic is considered too expensive. Customers can get top class handsets with the same price rather than buying HTC Magic. If both hardware and software makers want to make this new platform popular, they really should make sensible price for it. It’s a good phone, but too expensive for its class.
