HTC Touch HD Specifications and Price. HTC Touch HD may not interesting for iPhone user, but the Touch HD is a great effort from HTC, showing that it can still put more into its already standard range of high-end handsets. The first thing you’ll realize about the Touch HD is the screen. This is completely bia at 3.8 inches. Its resolution is also very high, at 800 x 480, comparable to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1′s. The screen is very sharp and bright, good for watching videos and browsing the Internet using the Opera Mobile 9.5 browser.Most videos are initially formatted for widescreen TVs will display well on the Touch HD.
The most astonishing exclusion of all is the pad (D-pad). HTC decided to get rid of it, so making any selection will need you to tap on the screen with your finger or a stylus. This works for the iPhone because Apple made the operating system (OS) on that device, so everything works assuming there’s no D-pad. Unfortunately, because the Touch HD is has its foundation on Windows Mobile (WM), leaving out a D-pad is simply not going to cut it. Even though HTC created its own applications fit for finger tapping with large icons and text, there are parts of the OS where it returns to the default WM interface.
