HTC Vivid Review, Specs, Price, cell phone mobile, The HTC Vivid is a 4G (LTE) smartphone with wifi internet and a host of other features. The display is a winner on this phone. Though it is not as sharp as the Super AMOLED displays or the iPhone’s retina display, the qHD display looks pretty good, even in bright light. The screen puts out a 540X960 pixel resolution, supporting 256,000 colors, packing in about 250 pixels per square inch.
The HTC Vivid sports the HTC Sense 3.0 interface that runs on top of Android 2.3.4. Sense is an excellent custom UI that gives you some pretty cool options like a customizable lock screen that can take you straight to your favorite applications, a quick access notifications bar that will allow you to change commonly used settings like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, a leap screen that shows a thumbnail view of all your home screens as well as a carousel view of your different home screens.
The phone has a 1.3MP front facing camera and an 8MP camera that is aided by a dual LED flash. The primary shooter on the HTC Vivid is excellent, to say the least. The camera performed really well in both outdoor and indoor conditions. It is equipped with a low light sensor that enables it to put out quality shots even when the lighting is less than ideal. The 8MP camera is capable of recording 1080p HD video. Video capture and playback was very smooth.
The HTC Vivid has 16GB of internal storage space. It has an expandable memory card slot that can take up to a 32GB SD card. The drawback is that the battery has to be removed in order to access the SD card slot.
The HTC Vivid has a pretty medium sized, 1,620 mAh battery that provides about 6.5 hours of continous talk time, on a 3G network. On a 4G network, the phone is supposed to give you about 4 hours of continous talk time. In reality however, battery life over 4G networks are pretty bad. But, almost all 4G LTE phones in the market today suffer from this handicap.
