First impressions are impressive. With a magnesium chassis and aluminum body, the Xoom feels really substantial. The windshield is composed of a single sheet of glass, but without the usual Android buttons, making it a much more streamlined and stylish appearance. HDMI mini-and micro-USB connectors are on the bottom, while around the rear are stereo speakers and a dual LED flash. Motorola’s included dedicated volume buttons on the side. The interface has been completely renovated, so it’s still unmistakably Google, but the icons are much cleaner and more intuitive.
The Google Search button was in the upper left corner of the screen. Latter feature is particularly interesting. Currently on Android phones and tablets, if you want to add a feature to your home screen and select: Widget, App, Shortcut Folder. you are presented with a list of five home screens and just drag what you want where. Sure of the demos that we saw, it appears very quickly, smoothly moving between applications. It also means better gaming performance and a gyro sensor is built. The 10.1-inch 16:10 screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800, which is a 16:10 aspect ratio. Video playback looks crisp and clear, punchy colors.
