Sony Xperia ion Review, Specs, Price, cell phone mobile, Sony announced the biggest change yet to its smartphone line-up at CES 2012 – the official dropping of the Ericsson brand and the ushering in of NXT phones.
The Sony Xperia Ion is one of two Ericsson-free handsets announced – the other being the Sony Xperia S – which share a lot of similarities in specs but have differing chassis.
The Xperia Ion will be available exclusively in United States from AT & T in second quarter. It will be with 4.6 inches HD reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine with HD resolution at 1280 x 720. The power of dual core processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz will provide faster browsing and content download with no worry in the internal memory as it stands at 16 GB flash storage. Xperia Ion will be with Android 2.3 Gingebread OS.
The Xperia Ion will include 12 mega pixel rear camera with Sony Exmor R which provides fast capturing of photos within 1.5 seconds from standby mode. The camera also adds LED flash and auto focus along with that the video recording at 1080p will provide the utmost clarity videos. The 1.3-megapixel front camera is no slouch either as it can output a 720p display for video calls. The phone will provide sharing of content via DLNA, HDMI and Bravia Sync to easily stream content on other screens.
Xperia Ion will also deliver the richest world class entertainment experience with Sony Entertainment Network providing music unlimited offers 12 million of unique songs with video unlimited download and TV shows from all the major studios. It’s also PlayStation certified providing high quality of gaming experience on mobile.
